This intervention is part of a program of the Chinese Government to restore urban villages and keep their traditional identity.

In this case we have been called to design the first phase of an Industrial park in Longgang Shenzhen to be reconverted to street shops and small offices for high tech startups. Hengli Industrial Park has been for years a build up area of factories and dormitories for the workers, it is nowadays aim of the client to transform all this area in a commercial street who claims to be the new center of Longgang.

The entrance of the building complex has been designed according to the Chinese Feng Shue with a stylized Tiger and a Dragon who are also a lighting system for the night.

The shop street is made of 45 small activities distributed in a 300 meters facade levelled out in space and style. The facade of the building has been covered with a metal structure holding a skin of Mitsubishi Alucobond® of different colours. The commercial activities will be also provided with metal coverable structures for outdoor service and food preparation.

Architectural works in the Industrial Park Hengli in Longgang will begin in October 2016.
