This concept of a Nano Apartment was created to answer the increasing need for home office spaces that arose due to the pandemic, and to show how the typical one bedroom apartment with a double square plan could become a one bedroom + home office.
Moving walls on wheels can be packed and unpacked for different functions in this continuously changing transforming house. The L wall the living room area with the ever-changing seating system Malitte by Sebastian Matta was designed in 1966 with Dino Gavina for Gavina. The fixed K wall contains the kitchen and is another homage to a master of design, Giancarlo Piretti, with his Plia chair, designed in 1967, which can be folded and hanged when not in use. The B wall contains the double bed and opens to an office space.
