This simple phone has been designed for Cool, a ZTE spinoff and codenamed F275.
The phone doesn’t have a SIM card but only a Wi-Fi connection. ZTE, with its provider Asia Cloud, is very strong in the Pearl River Delta area where they have a dense Wi-Fi network. That area is typically a factory area where the workers spend most of the year outside, going home just for Chinese New Year.
This phone takes advantage of the Wi-Fi network and it’s capable of making and receiving phone calls through it reducing to zero the monthly bill.
Logo, App and corporate identity were part of the design as well.
